Born and raised in Philadelphia, Orlean became increasingly concerned
about the direction which most of the city neighborhoods were heading and so moved to Rehoboth Beach with her
older parents settled in Camelot.
When invited to attend a community meeting in 2006, Orlean shared her concerns about the community and was elected to the board where she continues to be an activist on issues like unequal ground rent fees and increases, inconsistent maintenance of landscaping and roads, and management's failure to follow through with written agreements.
brings to the committee hard won negotiations skills, a commitiment to her
home and neighbors, and the future of the community and its ability to sustainreasonable growth without losing long-time residents on fixed incomes.
