Each year, Ong Yew Huat, country managing partner, Ernst & Young Singapore, makes a point of attending his firm's recruitment night at the Nanyang Technological University.
"I want these future employees to see who I am.
So I can say you're joining the firm, I'm the leader and if I say this is the way it will be for you, this is the way it will be," he explains, adding he is also there on the first day the employee joins the firm.
