Mr Ong Yew Huat is the former Executive Chairman of Ernst & Young Singapore, a position he assumed in July 2008 till December 2012.
He was responsible for providing guidance on the firm's direction and strategic issues, and also oversaw the assurance and advisory services for the Far East region.
Prior to that, he was the Country Managing Partner of the firm since July 2005.
Each year, Ong Yew Huat, country managing partner, Ernst & Young Singapore, makes a point of attending his firm's recruitment night at the Nanyang Technological University.
"I want these future employees to see who I am.
So I can say you're joining the firm, I'm the leader and if I say this is the way it will be for you, this is the way it will be," he explains, adding he is also there on the first day the employee joins the firm.
