Dr. Olga Lutsenko to speak in Mississippi on Bibles in Public Schools in the U.S.
Dr. Olga Lutsenko, founder of the Kindness Foundation, will visit Mississippi April 1 through 14 to address the need to teach Biblical morals and values in public schools. Dr. Olga Lutsenko, Founder and President of Kindness Foundation Dr. Olga Lutsenko, Kindness Foundation President For too long, this wonderful nation, founded by men of God, has allowed the substance of their faith to be removed from the public arena. The result is the emergence of a Godless society, devoid of morals and character as contained in Biblical teachings. Hattiesburg, MS (PRWEB) March 28, 2014 Dr. Olga Lutsenko, founder of the Kindness Foundation, will visit Mississippi April 1 through 14 to address the need to teach Biblical morals and values in public schools. The Mississippi based organization, which has taught Biblical morals and values in public schools in Russia for over 20 years, is calling on educators and lawmakers in the United States to support the use of Bibles in public schools to teach morals and values. Dr. Olga Lutsenko stressed the importance of the new initiative that she will address. "For too long, this wonderful nation, founded by men of God, has allowed the substance of their faith to be removed from the public arena and the result is the emergence of a Godless society, devoid of morals and character as contained in Biblical teachings. Dr. Lutsenko added. "It's time that Christians stand up for what we believe and return to a society that instills the teaching of Biblical morals in our children. Without values, the United States will have to learn the hard lessons that Russia endured for 75 years. This darkness I would not wish on any person or society, nor would anyone who has suffered it." In 1991, after the fall of Communism, Dr. Lutsenko, an official with the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR, was asked by the Russian Department of Education to develop a system for teaching morals in the Russian schools. After extensive research, Dr. Lutsenko and her colleagues identified the Bible as the best resource to develop a curriculum on morals and principles. In the course of her research, she became a Christian and founded the Kindness Foundation. Subsequently, the Russian Department of Education signed an Agreement for Cooperation with Fond Dobro (the Kindness Foundation) on education, culture and the spiritual rebirth of Russia. They encouraged FOND DOBRO to supply Bibles and other materials to public schools while also developing Christian Education Resource Centers (CERCs) throughout Russia. The curriculum developed by FOND DOBRO, a non-partisan, non-sectarian Christian education society, does not include theology or try to proselytize. The work of the Kindness Foundation expanded into Ukraine in recent years by a similar agreement with the Department of Education for Ukraine. Dr. Lutsenko, who is visiting from Canada, will deliver a series of messages in the South Mississippi area during the first two weeks of April entitled "Rising from Darkness" in which she will tell about the transformation and strengthening of Russian society because of the required study of the Bible in public schools over the past 20 years. She will also discuss the teaching of Biblical morality and why it is needed in the United States.
