November L. Davison, who graduated last month from the Southern Illinois University School of Law, will receive the ISBA Law Student Division Public Service Award at the June 23 Annual Meeting awards luncheon at The Abbey on Lake Geneva. A Geneseo resident, Davison has an impressive record of extracurricular achievements that includes the presidency of the SIU chapter of the National Association of Public Interest Law. She is a volunteer law clerk for the SIU Domestic Violence Clinic and has been a volunteer for The Women's Center in Carbondale since 1996.She received the Bessie Engram Community Service Award in April. Davison is the ISBA student representative of her SIU class, and she received an Illinois Bar Foundation Scholarship last year.She has been a law clerk this year for the Cook County state's attorney's Domestic Violence Division, and she previously worked in the Carbondale law office of Timothy J. Capps. "November is always ready to draft a petition overnight for a client who needs an emergency order the next day."
