Ms. Norpisah Mat Isa, Universiti Sains Malaysia

Norpisah Mat Isa is the Senior Deputy Registrar for Academic and International Affairs, Universiti Sains Malaysia.
She heads the international Office of USM since 2001.
At the international level, Norpisah Mat Isa is an Executive Committee Member of Commonwealth Universities Study Abroad Consortium (CUSAC) for four consecutive terms and was appointed Chairman in 2004 and re-appointed in 2006 for two more years, she currently holds the position of Honorary Treasurer in the Committee.
She was an Academic Community Voluntary Member of QS Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in Education (QSApple) from 2005-2007, a guest lecturer at Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara for its Master of Management programme, coordinator for Universities Cooperation for Internationalisation, a project involving universities in Asia and Europe, Chair for the Marketing and Promotion Committee for University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) since 2006, Committee Member of the Selection and Evaluation Committee for UMAP Joint Programme and Research Network and a member of Club 33, an informal organization consisting of heads and former heads of International Office from various countries.
is also one of the writers for the Study for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Institutional Management in Higher Education (IMHE) Review of the Role of Higher Education Institutions in City-Region Development (Penang).
is also one of the case study authors for the Leadership and Management of International Partnerships, a collaborative research project undertaken by the Leadership Foundation, AKEPT and the Martins Institute at the University of Melbourne
At National level, she is the Director of Malaysia Citizenship Initiative (MCI), a Non-Governmental Organisation promoting active citizenship among the young, was a fellow at the Research and Education for Peace Unit of USM from 2000 to 2004, Secretary to the Internationalisation Task Force of Malaysian Higher Education Transformation Committee, a team member for a Study on Internationalisation and International Linkages, a study undertaken for the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, Deputy Secretary for the Protem Committee of Malaysian Association of International Education.
is also one of the team members responsible in designing the Action Plan on Internationalisation of Higher Education in Malaysia based on the Strategic Plan of Higher Education, which was launched in 2009 and one of the Leaders for the Establishment of Modules for Postgraduate Student Professional Development Programme.
Norpisah Mat Isa
has presented a number of papers and chaired sessions at international and national conferences and has been consulted by a number of universities on issues of internationalisation of higher education especially on student exchange programme, creating networks and issues and methodology of dealing with international students.
