Mr. Hammon has served Jazz in June, Inc. for 27 years.
A 1978 graduate of the University of Oklahoma (MSW), Norman has served with a number of arts organizations in his career as either a Managing or Development Director.
In addition, Norman has served as a consultant to a number of nonprofit pools, including the National Jazz Service Organization, the Assembly of Community Arts Councils Peer Advisory Program, and the Center for Nonprofits Client Services Program.
Norman also serves as a grant reviewer for the Oklahoma Arts Council.
Norman is the author of "Fund Raising...for the rest of us" (Lughnasa Press, 1997) and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Oklahoma State University Oklahoma City, teach a course in "Writing Grant Proposals".
Norman has also served as a trainer with over two dozen arts organizations in Oklahoma and surrounding states.
In the realm of theatre, where Norman began his career, he has worked for four different theatre companies in administrative and development capacities as well as Producer / Managing Director of his own commercial touring theatre company, 2x4 Productions.
has received numerous awards in recognition of his
career in arts administration including the most recent as "Business Person in the Arts" presented by the Norman Arts Council Roundtable.
In his civic life, Norman has served as both a Human Rights Commissioner and City Council Member for the City of Norman.
