Today, Champian is an accomplished jazz vocalist and pianist who tours extensively and has returned to Norman to perform at Jazz in June.

Most recently, in 2012, Jazz in June collaborated with the Performing Arts Studio of Norman to produce the two-concert Heartland Jazz Summit series in Norman, OK.

Norman H. Hammon has served as Development Director for OSP since 1990. Then-OSP Managing Director Sue Ellen Reiman, who had worked with Norman at the Street Players Theatre, a professional touring theater company in Norman, OK in the 1980s, originally recruited Norman to OSP.
A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Norman holds bachelors and masters in social work, his "past lives", before the arts, include such endeavors as social worker, crisis counselor, emergency medical technician, Norman city councilor (Ward 7), human rights commissioner and pre-sentence investigator. A development specialist for nonprofit organizations for the last 35 years, Norman has been a trainer and consultant to dozens of Oklahoma nonprofits (traveling to every corner of the state), written a book on small organization fundraising (Fund Raising...for the rest of us, Lughnasa Press, 1997) and teaches a course in grant writing at Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City. Norman and his wife, Sheryl, a graduate student in Theatre at OU (who he met when she was an actor with the Street Players Theatre), live in a 1930 cottage in central Norman where he dabbles in writing op-ed articles and science fiction, hangs out in local cafes and spends far too much time in his organic garden.
