Norm Lindenmuth, Chief Medical Officer
Norm has been involved in the health care industry for over 35 years. After earning his MD at Thomas Jefferson University, Norm was Board Certified in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester and became an Associate Professor of Medicine at George Washington University. He went on to serve as the CMO for the George Washington Health Plan, Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital and Finger Lakes Regional Health System. In 2000, Norm joined the Excellus BCBS team, serving first as their CMO for Central New York, where he was responsible for physician relations, quality management, credentialing, and utilization, and later as the Corporate Medical Director of Quality in Rochester, where he was responsible for accreditation and compliance, disease and case management and the development of the medical home pilot. Currently, Norm serves as the CMO at CCS and remains a consultant for Excellus BCBS.

Dr. Lindenmuth is a senior advisor at The Camden Group with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He has held a variety of leadership positions including chief executive officer and chief medical officer for numerous hospitals, health systems, and health plans.
Dr. Lindenmuth most recently served as an independent consultant to a home care program for the frail elderly, as well as a consultant to a medical home pilot in Rochester, New York. In addition, he has been a National Committee for Quality Assurance ("NCQA") surveyor for the past five years.
Prior to his consulting work, Dr. Lindenmuth served as the corporate medical director for quality for Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield in Rochester, New York. He was responsible for accreditation and compliance, disease and case management, and a medical home pilot. Prior to that, he was the chief medical officer for Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield of Central New York where his responsibilities included physician relations, quality management, and credentialing.
Dr. Lindenmuth also practiced as a primary care physician for 25 years and served as the chief executive officer of a rural hospital and chief medical officer of the Finger Lakes Health System in Geneva, New York.
Dr. Lindenmuth received his bachelor's degree from Penn State University and received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, followed by a faculty position at George Washington University in Washington D.C.
