Nira graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Psychobiology from Binghamton University.
She earned a Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition at New York University's Department of Nutrition and Food Studies, Steinhardt School of Education, and completed an intensive, Clinical Dietetic Internship at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York City.
After completing comprehensive training in eating disorder treatment at the Renfrew Centers of New York and Philadelphia, Nira served as the primary nutritionist for their Intensive Outpatient Program.
conducted individual counseling sessions with program patients and facilitated weekly nutrition education and nutrition therapy groups.
Nira also worked as an Outpatient nutritionist at the Renfrew Center, New York, providing intensive one-on-one nutrition counseling sessions with women working in their recovery.

In March 2006, Nira joined the team of providers at The Center for Neurofeedback and Integrative Health in Paramus, NJ, where she served as primary Nutritionist.

Nira brings 12 years nutrition expertise in the nutritional rehabilitation of eating disorders to CPC and is an integral member of the CPC outpatient treatment team.
Nira is an active member of the American Dietetic Association, the Greater New York Dietetic Association, the ADA dietetic practice group in developmental and psychological disorders, the ADA dietetic practice group in pediatric nutrition, and the New Jersey Dietetic Association.
