Biography: Nina Frant joined the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in January 2015 and serves as an Attorney-Advisor in the Bureau's Office of Supervision Policy, Division of Supervision, Enforcement and Fair Lending. She provides regulatory policy guidance, legal interpretation and technical assistance to CFPB supervision examination staff, focusing on the areas of debt collection, pay day lending, and consumer reporting. Read More » Prior to joining the CFPB, Ms. Frant was a member of Kirkland & Ellis LLP's Antitrust and Competition practice group. She represented clients before the Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and state attorneys general. She counseled clients on regulatory risks associated with privacy and data security practices, financial credit issues, advertising practices, debt collection policies, and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Frant graduated first in her class from Howard University School of Law. She earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University.
