gave countless hours of service to her
family, church and community.She was an active member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Edwardsville and Tarpon Springs, Fla., where she served as First Reader and Librarian.In 1983, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in German from SIUE.She taught Sunday School at St. John's United Methodist Church for many years.She was also a Girl Scout leader and active in the River Bluffs Council.Mrs. Richards also served on the board of the SIUE Friends of Music, was a Paul Harris Award recipient, and served on the board of directors of Peace Haven in St. Louis.She
also enjoyed playing golf and bridge, as well as traveling.
