Nikken Shonin, our Sixty-seventh High Priest of the Head Temple, provided us with the following instructions:

This will enable us to act upon the objectives set forth by Nikken Shonin, "to double the number of the Bodhisattvas of the Earth and to form the Great Assembly with even more individuals in 2009, on the occasion of the 750th Anniversary of Revealing the Truth and Upholding Justice, through the Submission of the Rissho ankoku-ron."
The financial crisis that originated in the United States last September and simultaneously affected the entire world is beginning to manifest aspects similar to the Great Depression. An executive of a large bank, who was asked to comment on what he thought was the cause for the failure of Lehman Brothers in the United States, responded with just one word: "Greed.
