Streamworks appoints Nigel Rushman to advisory board
Live streaming specialist Streamworks
has signalled the opening of a major assault on the international digital sports market with the appointment of global events impresario Nigel Rushman
to its advisory board.
A critical member of the team that led Qatar's successful bid for the FIFA 2022 World Cup Finals, Rushman
has been appointed to spearhead the campaign to bring Streamworks
' industry-defining technology to the global sportscasting industry.
Capitalising on the broadcasting sector's history of failure when it comes to live-streaming events, he
will use his
experience of turning major sporting occasions into profit making enterprises to introduce a viable solution to a struggling market.
In that scenario, blending our undisputed expertise with Nigel's
experience as a big hitter in the world of live events promotion is a no-brainer."
The founder of international sports consultancy Rushmans, which specialises in working with governments, businesses and event organisers to maximise the profitability of major events, Rushman joins the advisory board with immediate effect.
An industry veteran with experience monetising over 500 global events including the Rugby
and Cricket World Cups, he
has been recruited to provide expertise on how Streamworks
' technology can be exploited to sell live sporting broadcasts around the globe.
commented: "In the global entertainment era demand for access to live sport from around the world continues to escalate, yet the majority of streaming efforts fall far short of the experience consumers demand.
