Nigel Clarke - Non-Executive
From 1985 - 2003, Nigel was a partner of GJW, then Europe's leading government relations firm.
In 2003, he created Learned Lion Partners to set up, invest in and advise projects in business areas with strong public policy influence.
He was an early investor in ULTra Global, and now serves on its Board as a non-executive director.
Other projects include medical research though Vidapulse Ltd
, and home healthcare through SureCalm Healthcare Ltd
, created in 2010 and sold in 2012.
In 2007, he chaired an Inquiry into a possible future professional body for pharmacy in the UK, and following the Report of the Inquiry, chaired the Transitional Committee creating the prospectus for the new Body.
This was published in November 2008, and forms the basis of the now reformed Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
Nigel served on the General Osteopathic Council (the regulator of the profession in the UK) from its inception in 1996 until 2008, being chairman from 2001-2007; and on the Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence, a UK Government body, from 2003-2008.
