Nick previously held the positions of Secretary and Vice Chair of the section.

The goals of the Labor and Employment Law Section are to promote legal analysis, dialogue, education, diversity and leadership among practitioners who represent individuals, unions, employers and agencies, or serve as neutrals.
Nick is the practice group leader of Carmody & Torranceâ€™s Business Services group and has extensive experience in counseling, advising and training public and private employers on all aspects of the employment relationship.
advises employers on a wide range of matters such as compliance with anti-discrimination laws, managing employee leaves of absences, FMLA compliance, conducting workplace investigations, sexual harassment issues, retaliation and whistleblower issues, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, compliance with wage and hour matters, traditional labor law, unemployment compensation, severance agreements, downsizing and reductions-in-force, employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, and employee handbooks.
has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts, arbitration proceedings, and before administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
