Crab fleet finally sailing / After 11-day standoff, fishermen get price 'we could live with'

www.sfgate.com [cached]

Nick McGreevy, general manager of Scoma's, a popular seafood restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf, was heartened that the stalemate between crabbers and the processors is over. Even though his establishment has been serving up crab from northern waters, many patrons had come in asking for the local catch, believing that the more local a food is, the fresher it is.A crab from Canada just doesn't have the same cachet when it's consumed in California. "We would have liked it if this had been resolved by Thanksgiving; it would have been good for business," McGreevy said.
