As an independent supply-chain consultant, Mr. Tantaros played key roles in significantly increasing margin for a major private-label health and beauty-care company, maximizing return on capital for a major retail supplier of agricultural products and services in North and South America, and reducing purchasing costs for all partners in one of the most experienced and successful media, communications, business and information services-focused, private-equity investment firms in North America.
Previously, as manager consultant for BearingPoint, an e-procurement strategic sourcing firm, Mr. Tantaros supported and managed numerous projects including the implementation of an enterprise resource planning application for an industry leading ship-building company, improving direct material sourcing processes for a global high-technology firm, and developing and implementing a new contracting organizational model for a leading health-care company.
accomplishments included developing a "Best in Class" roadmap for transforming the supply chain of a global aerospace electronics and avionics business, identifying process and technology enhancements to achieve over $30M in annual savings, and creating $25.6M in contract savings on $147.5 million in spend, across 11 commodities.

In his tenure at Harris Corporation, Mr. Tantaros served in a series of management and executive roles.
As director of Material for the Microwave Communications Division in San Antonio, Texas, he
implemented Demand Flow Technology material replenishment process and applied inventory management techniques to reduce inventory by $9M.
In the role of corporate manager for Logistics and Supply Management at Harris corporate headquarters in Melbourne, Florida, he
developed a supplier certification standard and awards program and negotiated and administered all corporate national transportation agreements, achieving annual savings of over $500K.
Previously, as manager of Material for the Government Aerospace Systems Division, he directed material management activities in support of multiple government contracts.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Tantaros held the role of Production and Inventory Control manager for Motorola Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he implemented plans and systems supporting the establishment of a new manufacturing facility and reduced work-in-process inventories from $5M to less than $1.5M.
Mr. Tantaros is a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society, Institute of Supply Management, and Association for Manufacturing Excellence.
