Nia-Malika Henderson is a national political reporter for The Washington Post, where she covers the White House and the 2012 campaign. Before joining The Post, Nia wrote about education, race and the White House for Politico. In 2008, she covered the presidential election and local government on Long Island for Newsday. She also worked at The Baltimore Sun where she covered city government in Annapolis. She also wrote for the Bronx Beat and worked as an editorial assistant at DoubleTake Magazine/DoubleTake Books in Durham, N.C. She received a master's degree American Studies from Yale University and a bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology from Duke University. She expects to receive a master's degree in journalism in May.
