...Nelson Tsui was born in Shanghai, and raised in Hong Kong.In 1971, determined to learn the English language well, to see the world, and to pursue a higher education, he arrived in Canada. For many years, he traveled extensively throughout Canada, from coast to coast, while attending the University of Waterloo, Queenâ€s University, Carleton University, City College, University of Victoria, and the University of British Columbia.He earned a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Business Administration, and Bachelor of Law degrees.He
was called to the British Columbia Bar
in 1987.Before and while attending law school, he worked for the Correctional Service of Canada.Nelson is currently a practicing lawyer in Greater Vancouver, and an active television and radio commentator on current affairs.An award-winning newspaper columnist, he is the author of six books on Canadian politics and law.
In 2002, in recognition of his
significant contribution to the community, he
was awarded the Queenâ€s Golden Jubilee Medal.
