The forum targets focused, high-achieving sophomores in Broward County who are home-schooled or who attend public or private high schools, according to College Academy Administrator Nell Sapp.
"It's not for everyone. Not only do the students have be bright, but they have to be mature," Sapp said.
The College Academy, Sapp said, doesn't offer extracurricular activities, aside from academic societies and intramural sports.
"If you're a cheerleader, or you live for the baseball team, this is not for you," she said.

"It takes a person willing to be adventurous, but we are going to remind you what it means to attend a collegiate high school," said Nell Sapp, College Academy principal.
"Broward County came up with this program following reports from media outlets that senior year is a `wasteland.' And at the College Academy, we forbid using the word `senioritis' because no student is ever a senior," Sapp said."They're a senior and a sophomore in college concurrently."
But she cautions that the program isn't for everyone, and especially not for students who are interested in attending prom, graduation or playing sports.
Students who apply for the program must turn in their applications by March 1 and are encouraged to complete the essay portion of the application form because the essay works as a tiebreaker among the more than 700 applications the program receives each year, Sapp said.
