Ned Muñoz, V.P. of Regulatory Affairs & General Counsel
Ned was born in Mexico City and has been actively involved in governmental affairs since 1999 as a policy analyst, Capitol staffer and lobbyist. Prior to joining TAB, Ned served as general counsel for Texas State Senator Chris Harris, acted as former Comptroller Strayhorn's public safety and corrections policy director, and was employed as in-house counsel for Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York City. Ned received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Austin College in Sherman, Texas and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas School of Law.

Thousands in Austin alone would be priced out and won't qualify for a mortgage. What is it: Linkage fees are a per-square-foot assessment on all new development and is charged to builders. "The concern we have with the fees are that you're raising the price of housing for everyone in the name of affordable housing for the few. We feel that it is counter intuitive," says Muñoz. What we can do: There's a balanced way to do this, says Muñoz. According to Muñoz, the current insufficient transportation network and poor infrastructure impedes commerce, inflates the cost of goods and service, and decreases viable housing options.
