Nathan Aaron PlaceNathan Aaron Place was born in Rapid City, South Dakota in 1966.In his youth, his family relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where the world-class art atmosphere fostered his innate artistic ability.He studied and worked at The Guthrie Theater, The Minnesota Opera Company, Children's Theater Company, Chimera Theater Company and at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.He also studied and worked with the visiting Beijing Chinese Opera.Following high school, he committed himself fully to a life of art and chose to immerse himself in classical ballet and modern dance training.He studied the R.A.D. syllabus and Cunningham technique while performing with the Minnesota Youth Movement Company and Ballet Herron.In 1991, he relocated to San Francisco to work with the San Francisco Dance Theater under the direction of Yehuda Maor and to attend classes at San Francisco Ballet.From 1991, he had occasion to work with Merriam LaNova, Ballet Celeste, Igal Perry of Perry Dance, Ney Fonseca & Dancers, Debra Slater Dance Theater, Contraband, Bill T. Jones, Isaac, McKaleb & Dancers, California Ballet, Peninsula Ballet and the Theater of Yugen.In 1994, Nathan stepped back onto the boards and into the art studio, reengaging both his love of acting and visual art.He feels privileged to have been associated with the California Shakespeare Festival, Eastenders Repertory Theater, Theater Rhinoceros, Oakland East Bay Symphony, Kai Shin Productions, George Coates Performance Works, CRISUS, Oakland Ensemble Theater, and the Cutting Ball Theater Company of which he was a founding member.His artwork has been featured in solo and group shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, and Sao Paulo.A love of travel has developed simultaneously with Nathan's artistic growth.Italy is his favorite international destination and Tuscany the region he holds dearest.Through his partnership with Tuscan - Colors , he is now able to share his passion for this great country and breathtaking region with fellow travelers seeking "l'Arte della Festa!"
