has led the introduction of a progressive, broad-based approach to education while making significant contributions to the transformation of the independent education sector in Pakistan
She is the founder and Chairperson of the Beaconhouse School System, which came into existence in 1975 and caters today to a combined student body of 264,747.
has also played a pivotal role for women's empowerment in the country as a majority of Beaconhouse's nearly 15,500 employees are women, particularly in upper management.
Mrs Kasuri is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Beaconhouse National University and has served on several boards and committees, including the Queen Mary College for Women, the National College of Arts, the Education Advisory Board of Pakistan, World Wide Fund for Pakistan, Sanjan Nagar Education Trust and the Punjab Education Foundation.
Actively involved in a number of non-profit and charity organisations, she received the 'Sitara-e-Eisaar' award from the Government of Pakistan in 2006 for her philanthropic and humanitarian contributions.
Mrs Kasuri has an MBA from TRIUM, the graduate programme of New York University, London School of Economics, and École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris.

From 1995 to 2005, Mr Kasuri was the CEO of Beaconhouse-Informatics, a network of IT institutes across Pakistan.
He has also been involved in publishing, and was editor and publisher of two of Pakistan's earliest computer magazines, MICRO and PC World, from 1988 to 1996.
