Nancy Flake Johnson
Nancy Flake Johnson, president and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta, is a tireless advocate for urban development, education and advancing the black community through economic empowerment.
She has led the Urban League of Greater Atlanta, Inc., since 2008, and serves on dozens of influential boards throughout the region, offering her expertise in business, finance and community development.
She started her career in Atlanta with a noted CPA firm after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting at Howard University.
he also holds a Master of Science in Taxation degree from DePaul University.
moved to Washington, D.C. to run the HowardUniversity Small Business Development Center
Later, she operated her own accounting and tax practice in Detroit and served as vice president of programs for the Detroit Urban League from 2006 to 2008.
Johnson is a member of the Georgia Education Equity Collaborative and serves on the following boards: Clark Atlanta University School of Business Board of Advisors; the City of Atlanta Workforce Development Board; the United Way Atlanta Ready by 21 Education Collaborative Network; the Mayor of Atlanta's Emerald Cities Task Force; and the U.S. Department of Human Services Strengthening Families Task Force.

as one of the Most Influential Women of Atlanta
and with a Leadership Excellence Award by The Women of The Atlanta Job Corps Center
In 2013, Johnson was presented the "Community Empowerment Award" by the Atlanta Chapter of the Howard University Alumni Association and honored as a "Woman of Excellence" by the Atlanta Daily World Newspaper.
