The Angel Rock Project :: Projects: Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation

www.angelrockproject.com [cached]

TNBC Foundation was started by a group of young women in Bergen County, NJ who have been personally affected by triple negative breast cancer when their mutual friend Nancy Block-Zenna was diagnosed with TNBC at the age of 35.
Unfamiliar with this type of breast cancer, Nancy sought answers, but found little information available to herself or to others with this often fatal disease. After 2 1/2 years of treatments, Nancy lost her fight in August of 2007. It was the hope of Nancy Block-Zenna, the Honorary Founder of the TNBC Foundation, that the organization help find a cure so that others would not suffer like she did. Malaak Compton-Rock was asked to become involved in order to assist the newly-formed foundation raise significant funds and awareness to make Nancy's dream a reality. To this end, in June 2007, the foundation held its inaugural "Peace, Love and a Cure" event at her home.
