Nagip Arifi, a former mayor of Bujanovac from the Albanian Party for Democratic Action, PDD, and Svetislav Stojmenovic, of the hardline Serbian Radical Party, SRS, won most votes in the mayoral race.
In the first round, Arifi
won 6,700 votes while his
SRS rival took 5,800.
