Immediately before joining CORE Partners, Ross operated Fisher Commercial Properties.
Formed in July 2002,
Fisher Commercial Properties was a real estate brokerage company providing acquisition and real estate advisory services to owners of retail shopping centers.
Brokered the land acquisition for Green Oak Village Marketplace (Brighton) & Waterside Marketplace (Chesterfield Township) as well as real estate advisory services and consulting to various land owners. (Deal sheet detail available).
Fisher Commercial Properties' registered trademark is "Infusing Value Into Your Acquisition Process®".
N. Ross Fisher started
his career immediately after graduation from
Union College with
Kmart as a
Kmart store auditor performing financial and operational audits.
From 1976 to 1989 he held positions of increasing responsibility, during which he also completed an MBA program at night at U of D Mercy.
From 1989 to 1997 Ross was a Kmart Specialized Internal Auditor/Supervisor where he developed from scratch the common area maintenance landlord audit program (including real estate taxes prorations, percentage rent and insurance).
Supervised lease administration staff and audits related to landlord billed common area maintenance expenses.
From 1997 to 1999 Ross was a Kmart Financial Operations Manager - Facility Management Division where he was responsible for budget development and management reporting on all Facility Management Division financial issues for Kmart, Big K, Super Kmart, Distribution Centers and Kmart Resource Center.
Responsibilities included developing, coordinating, reporting and budgeting operating expenses and capital expenditures.
The operating expenses of the Facility Management Division are in excess of $600 million with $65 million in capital expenditures.
Additional responsibilities included budgeting and reporting overhead expenses related to twenty-three areas within the organizational pyramid of Facility Management and Corporate Purchasing.
From 1999 to 2001 Ross worked as a Kmart Regional Director - Closed Store Disposition where he was responsible for divesting corporate excess real estate liability.
Responsibilities include landlord negotiations, broker selection & assignments, proposal evaluation & submission to senior executive management, and oversight & control of documentation.
The regional responsibility was west of the Mississippi River plus Florida and includes 83
Kmart with 5.4 million square feet.
From May 2001 to June 2002 Ross was employed as a Kmart Director - Real Estate Finance and was responsible for the sale/leaseback of owned and operating Kmart stores, Kmart Super Centers, Kmart Distribution Centers and Kmart owned shopping centers with a value in excess of $1 billion; Development of future funding sources and investment recapture initiative.
In addition to his Bachelors and MBA degrees,
Ross is a CCIM -
Certified Commercial Investment Member (April 2006) and has extensive training and practical experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and mainframe applications.
