Murray grew up in and around the Black Hills of South Dakota and has insightful knowledge of the many breathtaking and storied attractions located here. He is an enrolled Dakota Sioux tribal member and helped develop the Ft. Sisseton Festival program for Shebby Lee Tours in 2006. Additionally, he assisted in the development of several of our newer, shorter programs as well as Custer's Trail. In his free time he enjoys traveling, performing historical research, and hiking in the Black Hills. Murray has a B.S. in History and Sociology, and is thrilled to share his heritage and knowledge of western history with travelers who find themselves out West on one of our unique departures.

Murray Lee AIEF Administrative Assistant National Relief Charities Murray has worked with Native American students from reservations all over the country for the past 6 years and considers this an honor. These are students who received scholarships from the American Indian Education Foundation, a program of National Relief Charities where he works. Murray has worked for 20 years serving people in both corporate and independent business, and these skills, coupled with his recent experience as a student, help him to provide a balanced, multi-faceted approach to assisting the students he serves. Murray holds a B.S. in History and will finish a second B.S. in Sociology in December 2012. An enrolled member of the Sisseton/Wahpeton Oyate, Murray narrated and assisted in the production of the 2012 radio documentary, "A Clash of Cultures: Understanding the Dakota War of 1862."

Murray J. Lee - Tour Director Murray is an enrolled member of the Sisseton/Wahpeton Sioux Tribe (the Dakota), and developed the Ft. Sisseton Festival program for Shebby Lee Tours in 2006. He also helped in the development of several of our newer, shorter programs as well as Custer's Trail. He is currently the Program Specialist for the American Indian Education Foundation (AIEF), a branch of the National Relief Charities organization, which provides scholastic support and program services to Native Americans throughout the United States.
Murray and his wife, Linda, having lived in several major metropolitan areas, decided the beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota seemed the perfect setting in which to raise their soon-to-be-growing family. Murray enjoys sharing his heritage and knowledge of western history with travelers who find themselves out West on one of our unique departures.
