Muriel E. Grove
Muriel E. Grove, age 98, former resident of Baker Rd., Shelby, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in Heritage Care Center. Born April 22, 1906 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Paul R. and Gertrude A. (Hoadley) Black she had been a life long Shelby area resident. Mrs. Grove was an employee of the former Wilkins Air Force Depot and was a well-known local artist. She was a member of the Auburn Baptist Church and the church's missionary society. A homemaker, she was a charter member of the Kingwood Brush and Palette Society and had taught art at the Plymouth Library. An accomplished braided rug designer, she did demonstrations at many craft shows in the area and at Kingwood Center.
