Mukaddes Kubilay, the Kurdish mayor of Dogubayazit attended the Newroz festival in the Greater London Authority and met and spoke with the Mayor of London Ken Livingstone.

was presented with £200.00 for her
projects in Dogubayazit
.The Kurdish Community in London held an auction for some carpets brought from her
woman' s collective and that raised another £750.00.The money collected will go to the woman's collective in Dogubayazit
. Mukaddes met with the opposition party's foreign affairs minister Hugo Swire and Nigel Evans, a minister who is a delegate on the Council of Europe Turkey EU group.
