(Sept. 2, 2015) - Morril Hilton Harriman, counsel at Mitchell Williams, Selig, Gates and Woodyard, P.L.L.C., in Little Rock, Ark., will be honored by the Arkansas Alumni Association at the 71st annual Alumni Awards Celebration to be held on Friday, October 30. Harriman is a member of the firm's government relations team and is also a member of the University of Arkansas's Board of Trustees.

Gov. Mike Beebe named his chief of staff Morril Harriman of Little Rock to the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees.
"Morril has been my best friend and most trusted ally throughout my political career," Beebe said. "It comes as no surprise that he wants to continue his public service, and I am confident that the U of A Board will benefit from his experience and wisdom."
Harriman, 63, has served as Gov. Beebe's chief of staff since Beebe took office in 2007. Prior to that, Harriman served 16 years in the Arkansas Senate. He earned both his bachelor and law degrees from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He also was the director of the Poultry Federation, which represents poultry industry in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri.
