Professor Dr. Monzer Kahf has over 30 years experience in Islamic finance, banking and economics. He is currently Professor of Islamic finance at the MSC program in the Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies. He has been a private Consultant, Professional Trainer and Lecturer, in Islamic banking, finance and economics in practice based in California, USA. He also has over 14 years experience as an Economist, Senior Economist and finally Head of the Research Division of the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia between 1985 and 1999.

Professor Dr. Kahf provides professional training and consultations to international and national banks, finance and investment institutions and specialists, legal advisors, etc. in the area of Islamic finance, banking and economics. He also provides expert opinions to courts in disputes related to Islamic finance.
Over the years, his training programs have been evaluated top by both participants and training companies he has worked with. He has developed several training modules in Islamic banking and finance, Zakah, Trusts (Awqaf) and Islamic economics in general that he offers directly to financial institutions as in-house training or through reputed training companies such as Euromoney, Islamic Finance Training, Terrapinn Financial Training, Advance Studies and Training Centre and others. Dr. Kahf holds a Ph.D in Economics from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, March 1975, a High Diploma in Social and Economic Planning, UN Institute of Planning, Damascus, Syria, 1967 and also a B.A, Business from University of Damascus, Damascus, Syria, June 1962 which earned him the President of Syria Award for best University Graduating Student, July 1962. Dr.Monzer Kahf: Dr. Monzer Kahf has more than thirty years experience in Islamic finance, banking and economics. He is one of the principal pioneers of structuring Islamic financial products, currently a Consultant, Trainer, Lecturer.
