REVEREND MONSIGNOR EDWARD I. HESSION, 90, born to eternal life Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, at Saint Anne Home, Fort Wayne.Born to life Sept. 8, 1915, in Lafayette, he was a Roman Catholic Priest, retiring in 1986.He graduated from St. Mary School, in Lafayette, St. Joseph College, in Rensselaer, St. Gregory Seminary, in Cincinnati, Ohio and Mount Saint Mary's, in Norwood, Ohio.He was ordained June 7, 1941 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Fort Wayne by Bishop John F. Noll.On July 3, 1941, he was appointed assistant for St. Patrick Church, Fort Wayne.On June 7, 1957, he was appointed Pastor of the newly established St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Fort Wayne and on Aug. 25, 1964, he was appointed Fort Wayne Deanery Moderator of Council of Catholic Women.He was a Master of Ceremonies of the TV Mass, in Fort Wayne.He celebrated 50 years as a priest on June 7, 1991.In October of 1995, he was invested as a Monsignor.
