The 6th EXCO Meeting of the WF was attended by Councillors from the Africa Federation, led by the AFED Chairman, Anwarali Dharamsi accompanied by Navazaly Molou (Vice Chairman of AFED and Chairman of Conseil Regional of Madagascar), Aunali Khalfan (Hon. Secretary of AFED), Mohamed Hemani (Hon. Treasurer of AFED), Kumail Manji (Hon. Asst. Secretary of AFED).
On 9th January 2014, the AFED Chairman accompanied by the Hon. Treasurer, Mohamed Hemani, Hon. Secretary, Aunali Khalfan and AFTAB Chairman, Seyed Hassan Naqvi paid an official visit to Madras Medical Mission (MMM) and Institute of Cardio-Vascular Diseases in Chennai, they met with the officials and two senior doctors of the Institute, and also visited a patient from Mwanza Jamaat who was at the time admitted for treatment at MMM.

After the WF EXCO Meeting in Mumbai which ended on 5th January, 2014, the AFED Chairman, accompanied by the Hon. Treasurer, Mohamed Hemani, the Hon. Secretary, Aunali Khalfan and AFTAB Chairman, Seyed Hassan Naqvi travelled to Chennai and Ahmedabad for visits to hospitals and medical institutions. The Academy was honoured to have Mr. Mohamed Hemani, Chairman of the Education Council of the Khoja Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaat as the Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest of the occasion, Mr. Mohamed Hemani, was very pleased to note the brilliant performance of the graduating classes including the ‘O' level Islamic Religious Education results and applauded the students, their parents and the teachers.He underscored that the purpose of education is not only to acquire degrees and professions and make money, but to become a better human being - a worthy creation of the Almighty God.He advised the students not to take their privileged education for granted but to use it to help make the world a better place not just for themselves but also for others, especially the less fortunate ones.Furthermore, he cautioned the students to obey their parents as nobody cared for them more than their parents.
