moves to Greenbrier Elementary
...This fall, Mitzi Grogan will make the move to principal at Greenbrier Elementary.Grogan
is no stranger to the Greenbrier community.She is herself a graduate of Greenbrier High School and has been an educator in Robertson County for the last 23 years.Grogan's career began at Krisle Elementary where she taught a split sixth/seventh grade class and coached both the girl's and boy's basketball teams for two years.She then transferred to Greenbrier Middle School where she taught sixth grade for 18 years.She
coached girl's basketball for four years at Greenbrier Middle School
and girl's volleyball at Greenbrier High School
for 12 years.Grogan has spent the last three years at Greenbrier High as the assistant principal.
"I have met many of the teachers and staff at Greenbrier Elementary
," said Grogan
about the move.
...Mitzi Grogan attended Middle Tennessee State University where she played volleyball for four years.She
was named Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Scholar Athlete.Grogan graduated with honors with a Bachelor's degree in elementary education.She then went on to complete a Master's degree in administration and supervision from Trevecca Nazarene College where she also graduated with honors.Grogan
resides in Ridgetop with her
husband of 25 years, Dink Grogan.She
has three children; Kristen, Justin and Cameron.
"I have been blessed to work with exceptional students, parents, teachers, administrators and supervisors.I am thankful for every opportunity given to me over the years whether it was through a teaching, coaching, or an administrating position," said Grogan
"We would like to encourage parents and students to meet the teachers and staff at Open House on Aug. 5," said Grogan
