Mitchel was a former Development Executive and Literary Manager at Chatrone, a production/management company that developed and produced comic books, animation, television, and feature films. Mitchel also took part in the 2008 Power of Diversity Producing Workshop for the Producers Guild of America (PGA), developing a 1 hour TV drama with the help of industry elite and guild members.
In 2007, Mitchel produced an award winning experimental short film, DJ:LA, with directer Jerry Chan, which was sold to Canal+ and Ouat Media for worldwide distribution.

Mitchel began his career at Miramax in the fall of 2005, where he worked under the desks of Michael Zoumas and Richard Saperstein. Mitchel moved on to being an assistant for Michael Zoumas when he started his own production company called Zoom Entertainment, which had a first-look deal with Rogue Pictures and Focus Features. After a few months, Mitchel was promoted to development executive, as well as production coordinator for John Frank Rosenblum and Cindi Rice at Epic Level Entertainment on various projects, such as XOMBIE and DORKNESS RISING.

In 2004, Mitchel studied abroad in Adelaide, Australia and studied under their Screen (Film) Studies department. His short documentary, THE ART IGNORED, was nominated for awards at two film festivals around Australia. In 2005, Mitchel produced, edited, wrote, and directed the film SOUNDTRACK for the Reel Loud Film Festival at UCSB, innovating the medium by synchronizing the images on screen with live sound from DJ's on stage.
On top of film, Mitchel also Dj's and has been for over 15 years. He has Performed at clubs, lounges, bars, private parties, music events, and Hip Hop shows in Australia, Mexico, and California.
