has been invited to speak at the Health Care Compliance Association's 15th Annual Compliance Institute
This annual event for healthcare compliance professionals will be held April 10-13, 2011, in Orlando, Florida.
In the increasingly competitive and ever-evolving healthcare industry, finding improvements in quality of care for patients in every department of the hospital is essential.
Saruwatari, who is vice president of quality and compliance for LiveProcess and previously served as the acting national director for healthcare continuity management and national threat assessment manager with Kaiser Permanente, will present "Improving Hospital Risk Assessment for Better Quality of Care," a session that will cover: • requirements associated with completing a hazard and vulnerability assessment (HVA); • steps for preparing, mitigating, responding and recovering from identified risks; and • a strategy for incorporating these activities into the overall hospital risk assessment.
The presentation will take place Tuesday, April 12, at 1:15 p.m. at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort, where the conference will be conducted.
