Milton K. Erman, MD
Milton K. Erman is a Voluntary Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the School of Medicine of the University of California, San Diego, and a member of the Pacific Sleep Medicine Medical Group.
After receiving his undergraduate degree from Columbia College and his medical degree from New York University, both in New York City, Dr. Erman completed residency training in Psychiatry and a fellowship in Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the California Sleep Society, and is a Fellow of both the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Erman has served on the board of directors of the California Sleep Society, the National Sleep Foundation and the American Sleep Disorders Association, and was secretary-treasurer and national chairman of the Accreditation Committee for the American Sleep Disorders Association.
He is the immediate past-president of the California Sleep Society.
is the author of more than 200 publications dealing primarily with sleep disorders medicine and with interactions between psychiatric illness and sleep that have appeared in journals such as American Journal of Psychiatry
