Menu Miles Mason, Sr. | Memphis Divorce Lawyer Miles Mason, Sr. JD, CPA, is a husband, father, and divorce lawyer. He is married to Sharon, and together, they have three children-Anne, Miles Jr., and Abigail. To celebrate their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, Miles and Sharon toured Death Valley National Park in California and met up with friends with whom they shared a house in Sedona, Arizona. Almost empty nesters, they love planning and traveling together whenever their busy schedules open up. The couple spent two weeks in Scotland for Sharon's fiftieth birthday. Sharon and Miles often travel to national conferences at which Miles is speaking; these include the meetings of the American Bar Association Family Law Section and the American Institute of CPAs. Fun conference locations have included Napa Valley; South Beach; Santa Fe; Stowe, Vermont; and Bahamas. Miles, his three brothers, father, father-in-law, and son all graduated from Christian Brothers High School. Several years ago, Miles served as president of the CBHS Alumni Association and has been inducted into the Christian Brothers High School Hall of Fame. Being a "Brothers Boy" means a great deal to him because his parents were very active in fundraising for the school and his close personal relationship with several of the Christian Brothers who taught him. After CBHS, Miles graduated from Alabama with a degree in accounting and came to love Crimson Tide football. Before law school, he worked as a CPA for four years. His oldest daughter, Anne, grew up on the junior golf circuit, competing in golf tournaments all over the South, played golf for St. Agnes and for her college team, Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), in Savannah, Georgia. She lives in Atlanta and works as an industrial designer. Miles Jr. was a goalkeeper and played soccer for Midsouth Futbol Club and CBHS. He competed across the South as well and traveled to Rome twice and Brazil to compete. He attends the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Their youngest, Abigail, attends St. Agnes and is a songwriter and performer with original songs available on iTunes. Miles is the author of four books on family law (all available on Amazon.com). He is a nationally recognized speaker who presents continuing education seminars across the country on divorce trial practice involving complex financial issues, forensic accounting, and business valuation for judges, attorneys, CPAs, and business valuation experts. At national conferences, Miles has co-presented seminars with some of the nation's leading lawyers and business valuation experts including Randy Kessler, Tom Burrage, Shannon Pratt, Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Linda Thomas, and Michael Kaplan. Miles is past chair of the Tennessee Bar Association's Family Law Section and served on the editorial board of the Tennessee Bar Journal. He is also a member of the American, Tennessee, and Memphis Bar Associations' Family Law Sections, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Tennessee Society of CPAs. Miles was honored as a fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation and listed as a "Family Law Power Player" by Inside Memphis Business magazine. Active in the community, Miles has taken on leadership roles and has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations; he's served as Co-chair of the board of directors of the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ), on the board of directors of the Marguerite Piazza St. Jude Gala, and president of the Christian Brothers High School Alumni Association.
