Beginning his third year as head coach of the Sequoyah Lady Chiefs, Coach Mike Guillemet recently talked about his first two years and his expectations for the coming basketball season."The last two years we've tried to change attitudes in this program and did to some extent," said Guillemet. Those juniors will have to get used to starting but I am confident they'll adjust," said Guillemet."We won six games the first year, ten last year and I don't want to put a number on it but one of our goals is to do much better this year. Our other goals are to get to the region and build a tradition."We've tried to install the thought process that we have an opportunity to win every game," said Guillemet."We play in a tough district with teams like Tellico Plains which has great tradition. We want tradition too and we get it if we take care of the little things," said Guillemet."We need good senior leadership," added Guillemet."We have other freshmen we want to develop together to get used to the speed of the high school game," concluded Guillemet.

Sequoyah head coach Mike Guillemet was disappointed."We didn't play four quarters, we quit fighting at times and just got complacent," said the coach."And we fouled too much and did not get any bench help.""I see just one thing positive about this game," added Guillemet.
