Mike Cameron: Meteorologist
"Enough with the heat, gigantic bugs and protesting at presidential ranches!
was Mike Cameron's plea to come work for TV5 as a meteorologist . Central Texas was his last home, serving as morning meteorologist at KCEN-TV in Waco-Temple, TX, in President Bush's back yard.
Mid-Michigan is territory more familiar to Mike
He was born in Minnesota (this fact made Darrin Bradley jump and cheer) and grew up mainly in metro Boston, Massachusetts and northeastern Connecticut.
He then attended college at Lyndon State in Vermont, earning bachelors degrees in math and meteorology, and then went on to earn a master's degree in atmospheric sciences from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
Out of college, Mike's first job was at WUTR-TV
in Utica, NY, a region where lake-effect snows push the average yearly snowfall past 120 inches - prime training ground for a weatherman destined for Michigan.
Though a confessed weather addict, Mike
has other hobbies, including running, reading, keeping abreast on politics and lifting weights.
