Cabinet Treasurer Mike Bleything made a motion that, since we have many Lions and LEOs from outside District 22-C planning to attend the LEO Weekend, we charge each non District 22-C Lion $5 and each LEO $3.The motion was seconded.During the discussion PDG questioned the reasoning for this motion.Lion Helen stated that the reason for the charge was that they were concerned about the financial strain on the District because of the large turnout anticipated.PDG Jordan stated that he was opposed to this plan, he did not believe it would be major expense and, even if it was, the District could find the funds to pay for it.He believes that charging LEOs would set a bad president; LEOs are too important to the future of Lions. The vote was taken and the motion was defeated.
