recalled during the first festival in 1982 just one block of East Mobile Street was blocked off for a handful of music events.
It's a stark contrast to this year, when Haddock
was turned away from a local restaurant for not having a reservation.
It wasn't a restaurant that normally would require one, he
said, but because of a Handy festival event held that night, all the seating was spoken for.
