Phoenix Animal Rescue's Founder and Director, Michelle Dunlap, has been training dogs professionally for over a decade. As a former teacher, she has the expertise to teach you how to train your dog so that training continues even when your training session is over. Michelle has the unique perspective of a dog owner, dog rescuer, and horse owner. As a horse owner, Michelle regularly attends horse training workshops and continually trains her horses. Going through training with her horses gives Michelle the understanding of a dog owner who has tried everything to get their dog to behave. As a dog rescuer, Michelle works with abused and neglected dogs who often have fear, anxiety, or aggression issues related to their background. As a dog owner, Michelle has gone through extensive training with her own dogs and has earned several behavior titles on her rescued pit bulls. INDIVIDUAL TRAINING Michelle offers private training to dog owners whose training needs exceed what a group class can accomplish. If your dog is biting people, jumping up on people, dragging you when you walk, biting other dogs, or being unruly, Michelle can help you. A two-hour private training session at your home is $150. You will learn how to teach your dog so training continues after the private training session. Most dogs need one or two private training sessions. Call Michelle to discuss your dog's training needs: 352 226-0228. GROUP CLASS Michelle began the Totally Pit Bull Training class in 2005 to address the specific training needs of pit bulls and their owners.
