Michele Markham is senior vice president & chief information officer for HD Supply.
is responsible for all aspects of the company's Information Technology (IT) and Communication Systems.
In this role, Michele
drives an IT strategy that enables business growth through improved customer service, business process efficiency and system environments integration to deliver cost productivity.
To date, Michele
team have focused on the core objectives of simplification, digitization and integration to enable: a successful divestiture from The Home Depot® in 2007; execution on the multi-generation IT plans for each of HD Supply's
11 lines of business; and delivery of more than $60 million in cost savings.

Prior to joining HD Supply in 2005, Michele built a successful 20-year career with General Electric (GE).
She held a variety of finance, business and IT leadership positions in five different divisions during her GE career.
At GE, Michele most recently served as indirect sourcing leader for GE's $5 billion Infrastructure division, overseeing a $750M "buy" and leading a cross-business team who delivered more than $20 million in cost productivity.
From 2002 to 2004, she served as senior vice president and chief information officer for the GE Capital TIP/Modular Space division, leading a global team of IT professionals who delivered technology solutions, business alignment and process standardization to more than 200 branch offices.
From 1999 to 2002, she served as IT manager for GE Appliances Consumer Home Services, leading a global team who supported seven call centers and all systems to manage the Consumer Warranty business and Technician Scheduling and Repair services.

Michele holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Siena College and an MBA from Union College in New York.
She is a graduate of the GE Financial Management Program and the GE Experienced Finance Leadership Program.
