Zeitlin founded Magic Earth in December 1999, and led the company through its first 18 months as its Chairman and CEO.

successfully acquired the company for $100 million as a wholly owned subsidiary under Zeitlin's stewardship after only 11 months.
Zeitlin remained as President and CEO of the newly established Halliburton subsidiary for 15 months to effect transition and integration of Magic Earth's technology into Halliburton.
Prior to co-founding Magic Earth, Zeitlin was Portfolio Manager of Texaco's 3D Visualization Center in the company's Worldwide Upstream Technology Department.
He joined Texaco in 1980 as a Research Scientist in geological modeling with emphasis in subsurface fluid dynamics.
Throughout his career with the company, he held various technology leadership and management positions in the Producing and Technology Departments.
Most notably, he
