Membership & Communications Coordinator
(Kii'yaa'aanii/Ashii'i) is from the Navajo Nation.
Born in Tuba City (AZ), living in Ganado (AZ), moving to Gallup, New Mexico and attending college at the Northern Arizona University, he has shown great tenacity for education excellence and an advocate and product of Indian education.
Graduating with a Political Science degree, Michael interned at the National Museum of the American Indian in 2004 and the United States Department of Agriculture in 2003 within their respected offices of public affairs, before moving permanently to Washington DC to work for the National Indian Education Association as the Membership and Communications Coordinator.
Passionate about uniting all Native peoples through education, he
is hard at work bringing new and exciting incentives to the almost four thousand members of NIEA
and writing about the positive changes and collaborations made by the progress of education equality, being always mindful to Native language and culture.
He is also pursuing a Masters in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from Georgetown University.
