Former Tom Bean police officer William Morgan speaks out against former chief Michael Webster, who pleaded guilty to assault of a public servant.
SHERMAN, Texas -- Former Tom Bean police chief, 40-year-old Michael Webster, pleaded guilty to two felony indictments Wednesday.
The first indictment includes four counts of "Theft of a firearm by a public servant," a third degree felony.
The indictment alleges he
stole firearms from the department's evidence safe and sold them.
The second indictment he
pleaded guilty to includes another third degree felony charge, "Assault of a public servant.
admitted in court to tasing one of his
own officers back in 2012.
William Morgan, the officer Webster tased, is now speaking out.
The judge will decide how much time Webster
spends behind bars, if any, during a sentence hearing in December.
By pleading guilty, Webster
right to appeal the judge's decision.
