Mr. Terhorst received his undergraduate degree at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (B.S., Honors, Education 1986), and his law degree at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (J.D., 1991).
In May 2006, Terhorst and his law partner, Jeffrey Beeson, formed the law firm of Beeson Terhorst LLP.
Prior to forming his own law firm, Mr. Terhorst worked as an attorney for fifteen years in both the public and private sectors.
Mr. Terhorst currently practices in all aspects of employment and labor law, and he has extensive experience counseling employers and individual employees and managers on numerous employment related issues including termination, discipline, severance agreements, drug testing, employee searches, EEOC and DFEH investigations.
has also litigated and conducted trials in a variety of employment cases on behalf of employers and employees.
Mr. Terhorst has taught labor law and aviation law as an adjunct professor at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and he is a frequent speaker at various industry conferences and seminars on employment matters, including mediations and litigation.
