Chief Master Sergeant Mike Tedford helped direct Air Force One the day of the attack and accompanied President Bush as he traveled to Ground Zero. He's sharing his life with his home town.Sgt.Tedford grew up at Chester County High School , where his friends say he didn't stand up much during his high school days. What a difference 25 years can make.About 95 percent of the time when the President travels , I'm traveling with him , said Tedford.Under former President Clinton and now President Bush , Sgt.Tedford is in charge of all airborne communications on Air Force One , which includes managing a bank of over 85 telephones and communications with the Secret Service. If he wants to speak to the Prime Minister of England or the Chancellor of Germany , then it's my responsibility to make that happen..Now Sgt.Tedford is making something else happen - for the students at Chester County High , who now sit where he once sat. It'll give us confidence that maybe one day we'll be just like him..Friday was proclaimed Chief Master Sgt.Mike Tedford is in Henderson for his 25th High School class reunion. He could retire from the Air Force this year , but he says while America is on alert , he plans to continue to serve his country.
