Michael Stoltz serves as the Mars Society's Director of Media & Public Relations and Editor-in-Chief of the organization's flagship publication, The Mars Quarterly.He has an extensive background in media and public relations, fundraising, non-profit management and government affairs.While living in Israel for 14 years, Mr. Stoltz served as a media relations adviser to Israeli statesman Benjamin Netanyahu and also headed global resource development for one of Israel's largest public colleges.
Currently based in the Chicago area, Mr. Stoltz is a long-time advocate of the human exploration of the Red Planet and has a deep interest in astrobiology and exo-planets.At present he works as senior development coordinator for a Midwest-based college and also consults for several international non-profit organizations.Mr. Stoltz holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Creighton University and a Master's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from New York University and also studied at Tel Aviv University.
